Strictly Concrete Inc. (SCI) is a Maryland licensed concrete contracting company established by Jose and Madeline Guzman in 1995 to provide service to homeowners and general contractors in Montgomery County.
Specializing in small jobs such as steps, sidewalks, patios, driveways, retaining walls, foundations, footers, and pool decks, SCI features expert design and construction in concrete as well as brick, block and stone. Although SCI features work in smooth finish, brush finish, and exposed aggregate, at this time SCI does NOT work in concrete that is either pigmented (of different colors) or stamped (cut into geometrical designs or patterned to resemble stone). SCI does offer light excavation. For homeowners who need ground preparation for a small project of any type, Jose is available to operate a bobcat and perform heavy digging by machine. Not strictly concrete (because it's not Jose) is the job of welding. Our son, Avi Guzman, is a welder and fabricator, certified in 2006 by the American Welding Society. His business, Hot Wrench Welding and Fabrication is now open for business. We trust Avi implicitly as he starts his new career. The highlight of owner Jose Guzman's work is that he is the person who does the construction for his client. Whether he works alone or with an assistant depends on the size of the job. He will never subcontract out his work to another individual or company. He will always be present and busy at the job site to provide the best work he can for each of his clients.
Jose Guzman has worked in the field of concrete and masonry since 1976. A former concrete finisher with D & R Concrete Contractors of Montgomery County, Maryland, Jose has long been known for his quality work, neatness, and personal attention to clients.
